Tackling California Wage and Hour Issues: Legal Landscape and Potential Solutions

Abstract

It is important to stay informed about applicable laws and regulations, as well as legal wage and hour pitfalls, which are often the source of lawsuits in California.

Learn how regular compliance and audits can help to identify and resolve issues before they become costly problems, especially with the constantly evolving wage and hour compliance issues employers face.

Fisher Phillips attorney Tyler Rasmussen will discuss the essential wage and hour compliance requirements all employers should know to enable attendees to identify any potential gaps in their current wage and hour practices.

Tyler will highlight compliance concerns with the specific and unique California rules for autism service provider organizations, including meal and rest break issues, overtime, off-the-clock, and reimbursement issues.

Following Tyler's presentation, Henry Xie, founder and CEO of Simple Fractal, will discuss how automation can address these challenges.

With over six years of continuous bot operations in ABA and partnerships with some of the largest ABA providers, Simple Fractal is one of the first CASP Business Affiliates and has established itself as the premier automation expert in the ABA sector.

Attendees will discover how bots can help ensure compliance among California providers by adeptly managing meal and rest breaks, drive time and mileage, reporting time, and split shifts—even amid daily schedule changes.

This segment promises an enlightening look at how leading providers are leveraging innovative solutions to maintain compliance in California’s rigorous legal landscape.

With wage and hour lawsuits on the rise, you do not want to miss this important update.
