Interview

Tell us about ENC Family Services. What are you most proud of?

I am most proud that Josh and I stepped out of our comfort zone to follow the calling to bring the first ABA clinic to Carteret County.  ABA continues to expand in our area, but before we opened, there was no access to the clinic setting within 45 minutes to one hour.

What, in your opinion, is the single biggest challenge faced by autism service providers today?

We have amazing staff, but finding staff in our area has been very difficult.  We are a rural area where very few people are aware of or trained in ABA, so we have started from the ground up with hiring and training.

As an autism service provider, what have you found to be the biggest benefit of CASP membership?

The networking. We have connected with others in our state who have helped us navigate common struggles and answered our questions, especially around billing and insurance.

When you're not working, what do you like to do for fun?

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and boys on the boat or on the beach.
