Organization Overview

First Steps Developmental Services is a center-based early intervention provider supporting young children with autism and developmental delays during their most important developmental years. The organization was founded on March 23, 2025, with a mission to provide structured, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate support for children and their families.

First Steps Developmental Services was founded and is led by Jarrod Scalzo, who brings over 20 years of experience working in the field of early childhood development, behavioral support, and family-centered services. His leadership is grounded in a deep understanding of child development, early intervention, and the importance of caregiver involvement in long-term progress.

Services are delivered in a center-based setting using evidence-based ABA principles, with a focus on individualized learning, play-based engagement, and consistent routines. Children are supported in building communication, social, and foundational life skills while learning alongside peers in a structured and nurturing environment.

The organization is guided by a team of experienced professionals with backgrounds in child development, education, and ABA services. Together, the leadership and advisory team ensure that programs remain ethical, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with best practices in early intervention.

First Steps Developmental Services is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive space where children can grow with confidence and families feel informed, involved, and empowered throughout their journey.
