About the Initiative

This initiative was created to bring together researcher-clinicians, scholars, and organizational leaders who are committed to advancing professional development, advocacy, public policy, and high-quality clinical care in autism services. Over the past 15 years, leaders across CASP, APBA, and BACB have played a critical role in developing the professional infrastructure that supports our field, including practice guidelines, accreditation programs, policy initiatives, and clinical resources. As many of these leaders approach retirement, the Legacy Leadership Project seeks to prepare the next generation of professionals to sustain and expand this important work.

Throughout this 1.5-day program, participants will engage with experienced leaders through presentations, facilitated discussions, and networking opportunities focused on leadership, policy, research, public communication, and the future of evidence-based autism services. We hope these conversations will foster meaningful professional relationships while strengthening participants’ capacity to contribute to the continued growth and advancement of the field.

To support your participation, CASP will provide:

  • Hotel accommodations at the Grand Hotel for the nights of September 8 and 9
  • A stipend to offset travel and related expenses
