The Vermont Adult and Child Abuse Registry automated system was provided by the Agency of Human Service in response to legislation to improve Vermont’s Sexual Abuse Response System. Organizations can use this system to submit background registry checks against Vermont's Adult Abuse and Child Protection Registries. This electronic system does not include Vermont Criminal Investigation Center, Department of Motor Vehicle, or any other background checks outside of the VT Adult and Child Abuse Registries.

Organizations located within Vermont can subscribe to the system and submit registry checks electronically. If your organization is not already subscribed you can request a subscription packet by email. If you are already a subscriber, please visit the Vermont Adult Abuse and Child Protection Registry Check Subscription System to log in and use the system.

Organizations that meet the criteria for submitting a registry check, but do not have frequent enough need to subscribe to the electronic system can submit a paper registry check by mail or email.
