Mandated reporters are individuals who are legally required to report known or suspected abuse and neglect of vulnerable populations to state and/or local authorities. Laws surrounding mandated reporting vary from state-to-state so please ensure your familiarity with your state's laws regarding individuals who are required to report known or suspected abuse and neglect.

In accordance with Kansas law, any person listed in the Child Abuse and Neglect Registry is prohibited from working, residing, or volunteering in a child care home or facility regulated by DCF or the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

The Department for Children and Families maintains a statewide registry identifying, after due process, persons substantiated for the abuse, neglect, exploitation or fiduciary abuse of vulnerable adults.

Process to check an individual against the Adult Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation Central Registry

Fill out the OBI10400 PDF, and sign appropriately. Return the form via email to DCF.APSRegistry@ks.gov or you may return via mail to the address on the form.
