Organization Overview

The Lovaas Institute is a private company that is composed of three treatment headquarters, Lovaas Institute West (Los Angeles and San Diego); Lovaas Institute East (Greater Philadelphia Area); and Lovaas Institute Midwest (Minneapolis, MN and Lincoln, NE). Each headquarters provides highly supervised, intensive, home-based, early intervention to small numbers of families using the renowned Lovaas model of treatment. This original model was first implemented in 1964 and has been continuously expanded and refined as part of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis to this day.
